There’s no hiding in sports. When athletes put it all on the line, their emotions are open for all to see—dedication, exhaustion, frustration, elation. All year, photographers were on the sidelines to capture it. MetroSports poured through photos submitted by area photographers to find images that best illustrate the spirit of outdoor sports. Here are our favorite moments as seen through local lenses.
You could say that Will Ramos Photography sort of dominated this little feature because Will had a photo selected too! They chose a sweet shot from the Virginia Double/Triple Iron Triathlon. It’s a nice bit of recognition for what has got to be one of the most tedious races that he covers.
