Rumor has it that REI might be coming to Columbia Heights. Unfortunately my inside source is in the wrong hemisphere right now and can’t confirm whether this is true or not…

Bad news, friend, word on the Columbia Heights listserv is that this rumor is false. A few excited neighbors wrote REI to express their support, and REI wrote back that they had no plans to move to the big CH.
Darn. It did seem a little too good to be true… I wonder if REI could even sustain a fourth store in the area?
