The pinata was FUN.
But I still miss the good ol’ days when Piñatas came from Juarez and not China. Used to be you could peel apart your trashed piñata and read a fairly recent newspaper that more often than not hailed from a Mexican border town. Now there is no more newspaper. Now the crepe paper is attached to a cardboard form. And the bottom seems to have been pre-weakened so as to allow for the candy to fall with just a few blows (as was the case with our little donkey). Our group was just not going to stand for this.

On Saturday we went to the National Zoo.
If you hear the title NATIONAL ZOO you might think that it would be a zoo to rival all zoos anywhere. You would be wrong.
Apparently there are at least two zoos in some other place called Washington that are like 10 times better because they have all these aquatic things like the mighty Seal Lion Walrus. And whales. And real live dinosaurs brought back to life thanks to the crafty work of brilliant scientists. But do they have naked mole rats I ask? Because naked mole rates are sexy-ugly.
